1) Engine:Running in your pit bike will take 5 tank full loads, only use half throttle whilst riding the bike!

A) Change the oil after your bike is run in! 10-40.
B) Make sure the bike is not leaning on the stand when checking the levels!
C) Check all engine bolts are tight.
D) Change the spark plug after the 1st 20 hrs of riding.
E) If the bike is hard to get in to neutral see below. ( THIS DOES NOT APLY TO THE NEW MONSTER PRO )

Pro Mk1 gear box:

If the bike is jumping in to gear it is usually due to choosing Neutral from 2nd gear! This is in fact a false Neutral and choosing 1st to neutral is in fact the correct method.

Adjust the clutch by taking the chrome cover on the off side casing! Undo the 10mm lock nut and turn the clutch screw anti clockwise half a turn to reduce the clutch tension. Re assembles! If you need to readjust the lever position use 2 x 10 mm spanners on the clutch cable on underneath the head stock! Expanding the cable make the clutch bight further out. ( THIS DOES NOT APLY TO THE NEW MONSTER PRO )

2) Frame:

The Running in possess is for all bolt on parts and engine. The bike will need every nut and bolt checked for tightness every 15 minutes over this running in process! Once the bike is through the running in and bedding in process the bike will only need to be checked every day you ride. Please feel free to use lock tight solution to hold fast stubborn nuts & bolts.

3) Wheels:

VERY IMPORTANT the wheels are like all Motocross bikes! There is no warranty on wheels do to the nature of the bike (A COMPETITION MASHINE)! When the wheels are new all the spokes MUST be checked every 15 minutes of riding! IF this is not adhered to the wheels WILL malfunction! After the bedding in process has been completed approximately 15 Hrs riding time you will only need to check the wheels before you ride ones a day!

4) Tyres:

A) Tyre pressures should be around 18 psi for off Road.
B) If the tyres are run flat this can do terrible damage to both wheels, bike and rider!

5) Brakes:

A) If the bike seems to slow down whilst riding stop the machine and check that the front & rear brakes are not binding! This can be started by the rider holding the rear brake down by mistake! This lever can be adjusted to suit the rider’s height and position.
B) If there is too much fluid in the reservoir this can also prevent the brake from returning to its off position! This is easily fixed by taking a few cc`s of fluid from the reservoir releasing the pressure.

6) Body work:

A) Always check that body work is tight and secure to prevent damage or injury.
B) The Exhaust system is held on by 3 bolts 2 at the head of the engine 2 x 10mm check these before you ride! The other is on the heavy duty end can strap on the sub frame bolted with 13 mm OR 10mm bolt.

All parts of the motorcycles are your responsibility to maintain the bike the best condition! If you look after the bike it will look after you!
